Install New Driver in Win95:

  1. Power on the computer after plugging in the modem
  2. When Windows detects the modem, the message "The wizard will complete the installation of: PCI Serial Controller" is displayed.
  3. Click on "Next", then click on "Other Location",
  4. Type in the path to the driver then click "OK"
  5. Windows displays "Windows found the following updated driver for this device: Rockwell PCI Modem Enumerator".
  6. Click "Finish" and Windows displays "Please insert the disk labeled 'WIN95 Installation Disk', click OK."
  7. Click "OK" and enter the path again. Installation should then complete automatically.
  8. Restart your computer to active DOS support.

UNinstall older versions of PCI Driver in Win95:

  1. Under START --> SETTING --> CONTROL PANEL --> SYSTEM --> DEVICE MANGER
  2. Remove PCI modem within HCFMODEM and MODEM
  3. Delete existing INF files
  4. On OSR2 Windows95, delete all RSS*.INF, RRI*.INF and Wacwave.inf in the Windows\Inf directory and all ROCK*.INF files in the Windows\Inf\Other directory.
  5. On non-OSR2 Windows 95, delete all OEM*.INF files in the Windows\Inf directory that contains the text "HCF"

  1. UNinstalling driver using the uninstaller
  2. Click on the "Add/Remove Progroms" icon under Control Panel
  3. Select "Rockwell HCF 56K Modem" under the "Install/Uninstall" tab and click on "Add/Remove"
  4. When completed successfully, the INF files, VXD files and registry entries used by the modem installation are deleted from the hard disk.
  5. The system should be reboot at this point if a modem is to be reinstalled.

Install New Driver in NT4.0:

  1. Save 23nt.exe into a temporary directory (example: c:\temp)
  2. Extract the 23nt.exe , then run c:\temp\setup.exe: this will start Rockwell Modem Board Installation Wizard.
  3. From the opening screen click on "Next"
  4. Select the proper driver name, normally only one will be shown.
  5. Click on "Next"
  6. Click on "Finish"
  7. Restart your computer.

Install New Driver in NT4.0:

  1. Double click on "My Computer icon" --> Control Panel --> Modems
  2. Select modem to uninstall
  3. Click on "Remove"
  4. Verify the operation by clicking "Yes"
  5. Click on "Close"
  6. Reboot your computer
  1. Double Click on Add/Remove Programs
  2. Select the modem name to uninstall, then click on Add/Remove
  3. Click on "Next"
  4. Click on "Finish"
  5. WinNT will ask you to restart WinNT, click OK!

Install Voice Feature:

In order to utilize voice feature of this modem, you need to install Microsoft Unimodem V driver first before you install communication software TRIO. Follow the steps below to setup MS Unimodem V:

  1. Insert your modem device CD into CD drive,
  2. TRIO installation process will appear, click "X" to exit the TRIO installation process
  3. Click on START, then go to PROGRAM and WINDOWS EXPLORER.
  4. In WINDOWS EXPLORER, click your CD drive, and double click then go to UNIMODV directory.
  5. Right click your mouse on Unimodv icon and then left click on "instll" to excute the installation program.
  6. Reboot you system when finished.
  7. After you have installed the Microsoft UnimodemV driver, you can now install the TRIO
  8. Insert the CD, the TRIO installation process will appear.
  9. Click "NEXT" to continue, then follow the direstions on the screen, you will complete the installation process.
